What should we say then? Should we continue to sin so that God’s kindness will increase? That’s unthinkable! As far as sin is concerned, we have died. So how can we still live under sin’s influence?
Romans 6:1-2 GW
God absolutely will get angry about our sins. His grace is great, but sin has consequences. I have been married to my wife 39 years. If I took up with “Miss Thing” down the street, I would not find my wife’s compassion. She doesn’t believe in divorce, but doesn’t struggle with murder. She’d be over with that and repent.
We have died to sin. God hates the fruit of our sin. The wages of sin is death. You sin, and you receive payment in death. Sin grows up and produces death. That is what angers God. He has gone to great lengths to give us life! He hurts for the damage it does in our lives. God will let us experience the consequences of our sins. He loves us enough to hold us accountable.
When has God held you accountable, and you were thankful He did? Please share in the comments below.
