And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2 NKJV).
Someone shared a story with me about a woman who inadvertently got stuck in a commercial freezer at her workplace. About five hours later, the security guard opened the freezer door and saved her life. She asked him how he knew to look for her. He told her she was one of the few people who always said, “hello” to him each morning and “good-bye” to him each evening. She made him feel visible just by acknowledging Him as she entered and left the building. When he didn’t see her leave, he began searching for her.
It’s not about the server.
Satan took a selfie and said, Look at me—”I’ll go up to heaven and set up my throne above God’s stars. I’ll sit on the mountain far away in the north where the gods assemble. I’ll go above the top of the clouds. I’ll be like the Most High.” His lack of humility and focus on himself caused his fall from heaven.
An attitude of superiority or importance is wrong. As we function in our gifts, we must make sure we allow others to get into the game. Every person counts.
We need each other. We should leave a positive imprint on the hearts of others by the way we serve.
