Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, 21 equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us[a] that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen (Hebrews 13:20-21 ESV).
Eternal life includes God using us in ways we never imaged.
My dad was raised Amish with no less than a 7th grade education. He left school and worked on the farm. He was saved in his 20’s. With nine children and a limited education, he felt called to pastor. What church wants a pastor with nine kids? But God opened the door.
He was self-taught. His Dake’s Bible is all marked up, and it sets in my office. People still tell me he was one of the greatest Bible teachers. God did it.
One of the ladies at Lakeview, Carol Opps has prayed and disciple thousands of people. She is not a pastor; she’s never been to seminary, but she does what God tells her to do.
Eternal life comes with an eternal purpose.
