People of Eternal Life Can’t Lose

Because we have eternal life now, we can’t lose. Romans 8:31 says, What can we ever say to such wonderful things as these? If God is on our side, who can ever be against us?[1] When you grow up with a parent, teacher or classmate that said you wouldn’t amount to much, and then you get saved, the light of Jesus dims those voices. God says, “I’m going to use you; no one can stop you!”

We can only lose if we choose to do so. We have eternal life coursing through our veins, so keep a few things in mind:

  1. Don’t fear man. The Lord is your helper! What can man do to you? Don’t fear what other people have said about you or to you.
  2. Don’t fear loss of possessions. Even when you are in a deficient, He will care for you. My parents raised nine children. They had no one to teach them about debt and finances. They never owned a home. We were poor, but I didn’t realize it. I put cardboard in my shoes. My parents retired with no worries. God took care of them. Within five years, they put $5,000 in the bank from the little they had left over from their social security. We took it and split it into two $2,500 burial plans. Years later, it had grown enough to cover their burial expenses. My dad said, “We don’t have a lot, but we have enough.”
  3. Don’t’ fear accusations. Jesus died and justified you and is appealing to God on your behalf.[2]
  4. Don’t fear any thing! No one can separate you from the love of God.[3]

People want to talk about issues. Someone asked me about the right to bear arms. If all hell breaks loose, I’m not scared. I’m going to see Jesus. Things are going to get worse before the end.
My life here in some measure will determine how I live in Heaven. All things work together for His purpose—to be conformed to His image.[4] When we see him, we will be like Him.[5] We have to see him in order to be like him.

We are people of eternal life!
