As human beings, we can become lax regarding God sometimes. We often humanize Him because of our way of looking at life. But our picture of God becomes more clear as we study His Word.
As I study the Word:
- It imparts into me a healthy fear of God.
- I learn about God’s character.
- I discover God’s righteous judgment.
When Jesus became flesh and walked among us, we saw God’s glory as we looked at Jesus. The same thing is true as we behold the living Word of God, the Bible.
John 1:14 says, And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
When I open the Bible, He reveals Himself to me.
Most Christians will live a lifetime without ever seeing a visible, physical manifestation of Christ, but when you open this Book, you see His glory!
